SUMMARY:Fireside Friday - Windows Command line
DESCRIPTION:We all have gaps in our security knowledge. Fireside Fridays will be an opportunity to fill in those gaps. Each Friday we will pick a topic and go over the basics. These sessions will be a combination of lecture and hands on labs. We’ll cover a single topic and hopefully fill in some of those cracks. Think of it as a single focused “ask us anything” session. No judgment on the questions that get asked\, just a chance to raise the bar for all of us. \nChat with your fellow attendees in the Threat Hunter Community Discord server: https://discord.gg/threathunter in the #live-chat channel. \n  \nRegister Here\nChris BrentonChris has been a leader in the IT and security industry for over 20 years. As an alumni of Y-Combinator\, Chris has assisted multiple startups\, helping them to improve their product security through continuous development and identifying their product market fit. \nShare this:

SUMMARY:Expanding Your Home Lab With Proxmox w/Chris Brenton
DESCRIPTION:VMs and containers are a great way to test out malicious code and new security tools. However\, running them on your desktop sucks down critical resources. In this webcast we’ll introduce you to Proxmox\, an open source IaaS platform. While Proxmox is perfectly capable of being used in enterprise environments\, we’ll focus on deploying it in your home lab. By the end of the webcast you’ll be able to quickly\, easily and cheaply deploy your own personal cloud environment. From there you can set up some C2 channels for testing\, deploy some noisy red team tools\, or even load up that VM from the next Antisyphon class you’ll be taking. Stop by early to participate in some preshow banter. \n  \nChat with your fellow attendees in the Threat Hunter Community Discord server: https://discord.gg/threathunter in the #🔴live-webcast-chat channel. \n  \nRegister Here\nChris BrentonChris has been a leader in the IT and security industry for over 20 years. SUMMARY:Webcast - Creating Your Own Custom Sniffer/Analysis Tool
DESCRIPTION:We’re lucky to have hundreds of awesome packet sniffers to choose from\, but what happens when none of them do exactly what you want? \nWhen there’s no off-the-shelf tool to handle the task\, consider writing your own sniffer! \nIn this Active Countermeasures webcast\, Bill Stearns will teach you how to build your own sniffer using a skeleton that handles a huge amount of the grunt work. \nThe talk will be most valuable to those interested in packet sniffing\, packet analysis\, and network security. We’ll provide a template for a python program you can use for your own projects\, but you don’t have to be a python programmer to join us and see how this works. \nChat with your fellow attendees in the Threat Hunter Community Discord server here: https://discord.gg/threathunter — in the #🔴live-webcast-chat \nRegister Here\nChris BrentonChris has been a leader in the IT and security industry for over 20 years.
